The Dreamer and the Remembering

When the you that dreams is not washed away by the you that remembers the dream, then you are in the presence of the true self.

The Knower and the Knowing

  1. I’m just gonna share some ideas related to this post about everything that’s going on right now. It appears the “dreamlike” nature of reality is something that is being revealed to us as everything seems to be coming together. There was this quote from last Sunday’s episode of Twin Peaks which was entitled “We are like the dreamer”:

“We’re like the dreamer who dreams and then lives inside the dream. But, who is the dreamer?”

That quote is apparently a variation on these quotes from the book Eternal Stories from the Upanishads:

“We are like the spider. We weave our life and then move along in it. We are like the dreamer who dreams and then lives in the dream. This is true for the entire universe.”

“As the spider creates the cobweb out of its saliva, it lives and plays in it and at the end the same spider swallows up the cobweb, similarly the God, the Lord creates the whole universe as the act of His thought. He manifests in it and again He withdraws the whole universe in Himself.”

YouTuber “John le Bon” pointed out something interesting about the reported car attack in Charlotteville that took place on August 12, the day before the Twin Peaks episode “We are like the dreamer.” In the background of a shot of the wrecked car, we see the sign for a clothing store called The Impeccable Pig:

You may be familiar with the story Charlotte’s Web about a spider that helps out a pig who is in danger of being slaughtered by writing messages in her web that influence people into sparing the pig:

Basically, Charlotte the spider “changed the course of history” with the web she spun, similar to how big dramatic events and stories like the Charlottes-ville car attack are intended to influence the minds of the public and change the course of history.

Anyway, something to think about. Incidentally, tonight’s episode of Twin Peaks is entitled “There’s some fear in letting go.” This will be airing the night before the big eclipse tomorrow. This reminds me of what Aug has said about the difficulty of letting go of attachments in this time of transition.

And didn’t Aug say that David Lynch is a major player in what’s going on behind the scenes in this reality? Something also about designing a “machine” of some kind? Am I remembering this correctly, Aug? Could you possibly tell us more about this?
